Lunn Healthcare Facilities proudly handed over the new Primary Care Centre in July 2005. The two-storey facility hosts the six GP practice and includes a minor surgery unit and a dispensary across 920 sqm of purpose built accommodation.

The new health centre, developed in conjunction with the South Huddersfield PCT, has been sympathetically constructed in the traditional style of the original Victorian building. The design complements the local built environment including the adjacent Holme Valley Memorial Hospital.

The building has been thoughtfully designed with particular attention paid to maximising accessibility for staff and patients. The centre is airy, spacious and light, with a modern contemporary waiting area, its own dispensary, a minor surgery facility, specialist clinics, counselling and physiotherapy services. The facility also serves as a training centre for new doctors and is the local base for district nurses. Following its successful handover, planning permission was granted for a free standing dental surgery, which has now been developed adjacent to the new health centre.

In the mid-90s we started talking seriously about the need to move into larger premises. Now that the centre is complete and up and running, we are delighted with the new modern building and the health services we can offer.
